Firmware Revision 0408


- Bug fix in Fast Search Engine control which caused blocking of signal acquisition after a long time with no signals available.

Note - all other FW 0408 functions and features are absolutely the same as for FW 0407. Therefore no additional testing is needed on customer side for migration from FW 0407 to FW 0408.


Firmware v.0408 is compatible with hardware revisions 4.x of the NV08C-CSM devices.

Friday January 10th, NVS Technologies AG announced latest Firmware (v0406) as well as new Hardware v.4.x and v.5.x for our NV08C Receiver Series.

Hardware Revision NV08C-CSM v.4.1

  • NV08CD (release R6) BB ASIC with updated MaskROM Basic FW is used
  • Silver-nickel shield is used for NV08C-CSM v.4.1 which does not hinder magnetic sensitive devices
  • NV08C-CSM v.4.1 is in production and available from stock

Hardware Revision NV08C-CSM v.5.x

  • NV08CD (release R6) BB ASIC with updated MaskROM Basic FW is used
  • Wideband Beidou+GPS+GLONASS SAW filter is used instead of GPS/GLONASS diplexer for v.4.1
  • TCXO 33.6MHz is implemented instead of TCXO 26MHz which was used in previous versions
  • Silver-nickel shield is used for NV08C-CSM v.5.x which does not hinder magnetic sensitive devices
  • NV08C-CSM v.5.0 Engineering samples are available from stock


Firmware Revision 0406

FW 0406 is fully compatible in functionality, settings and protocols with the latest official FW release 0206 valid for NV08C-CSM v.3.x
NOTE: Updated MaskROM Basic FW allows to provide full support of Galileo and Beidou (signal tracking & navigation). Full Beidou support will be available for hardware revision NV08C-CSM v.5.x only and FW version B4.xx. Full Galileo support will be implemented in the following FW versions and will be available for both HW revisions v.4.x and v.5.x


Firmware v.0406 is compatible with hardware revisions 4.1 of the NV08C-CSM devices.

IMPORTANT NOTE: don’t load FW 0406 into NV08C-CSM v.3.x. which leads to unrecoverable device malfunction.

The new Tallysman TW3800 Series antennas provide coverage of the L1 and L2 signals the GPS system and G1 and G2 signals for the GLONASS satellite systems

Ottawa, Canada – July 17, 2013 – Tallysman Wireless Inc., a pioneer in design and manufacturing of high performance GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) antennas and associated components, is pleased to announce the addition of the Dual Frequency TW3800 Series to our high quality precision line of antenna products.
The TW3800 Series antennas feature a circular stacked patch antenna for improved axial ratio, yet are small and light, and have the extended bandwidth required for L1/L2 GPS & G1/G2 GLONASS.  The operating voltage range is from +2.5 to 16 VDC.  The antennas have a temperature compensated LNAs and operate from -40 to +85oC to provide reliable performance in most any environment.  The TW3800 is packaged in a through hole mount making it very suitable for mobile applications.

The TW380x is ideally suited for many applications, including:

•    Military & Security
•    Network Timing and Synchronisation
•    Precise tracking
•    High signal availability
The TW3805 is the OEM version of the TW3802, and can be custom tuned to provide optimal performance inside virtually any housing.
